We partnered with Green Field Family Resources, Clinica Sierra Vista, Kern Family Health Care, and Children’s Choice Dental to hold a health fair for rural migrant youth and families. We had booths with interactive games and activities including sugar guessing games, brushing your teeth, learning about germs, etc. Our goal was to teach children about the different aspects of health. We also provided back to school supplies to those in need.

Para Los Ninos

Partnered with HOLA to teach lower income elementary students about a variety of topics regarding health. In November we held workshops that taught young students how to express themselves and deal with emotions in a healthy manner and the process of how germs work and how they can infect you, through interesting and interactive activities. Recently we held two more workshops with HOLA that targeted the importance of exercise further than just the physical health benefits, and identifying unhealthy and healthy relationships, and coping mechanisms.

Refugee Youth & Families

Foster Care Youth

Engaged with the current foster youth, foster parents & families, and Kinship guardians to learn about the foster care system. Held programs to offer respite to Foster/Kinship Parents while introducing new opportunities for Foster Children. Held public forums with Foster Youth aging out of the system, former Social Services Directors, and Case Managers regarding Guaranteed Income Pilot Programs & their efficacy.

Migrant Rural Health Fare

Partnered with Para Los Ninos to educate young students. Organized and led two workshops during June. One of the workshops taught the students about environmental issues such as water pollution and global warming through informative lectures, fun games, and interactive activities. The other workshop educated the students about their nutritional health. Taught them to be mindful of what they put in their bodies by giving several tasty alternatives, visual presentations, and friendly competitions.

Heart of Los Angles

Partnered with various organizations to provide assistance to unaccompanied refugee minors, created online resources for refugee families to assimilate into life in America, and hosted Youth Summits for generational refugee youth to provide career opportunities and promote unity.

Combating our Communities Plastic Waste

Partnered with newly budding nonprofit organization, 1 Plastic Life, to engineer ways to reformat plastic waste into usable products. Assisted 1PlasticLife in getting the first recyclable mobile up & running through SoCal. Collected plastic waste from our communities & redesigned them into cell phone cases to highlight the importance of closing the cycle of lasting waste to protect our environment.

Lasting Literacy

Designed & Created the Lasting Literacy Platform, an online literacy program with uniquely tailored reading materials, projects & mentorship. Assisted rural communities in Kern County with an educational curriculum to target improving literacy rates for youth through creative means during COVID!

Serving the Homeless Community

Partnered with Union Rescue Mission and committed to a full urban experience directly in the heart of Skid Row in hopes of learning some of the challenges homeless communities face. Designed & hosted workshops, projects, and events for homeless men, women, and children

Juvenile Justice

Focused on advocating for improved reform to California's juvenile justice system. Conducted extensive research on juvenile delinquency and our current justice system before holding roundtable discussions with the San Francisco Probation Department regarding new policy changes to juvenile justice practices. Partnered with homeboy industries and learn more about difficulties former convicts face while reintegrating into society.

Animal Rights

Discovered one of orangutan’s main habitats, Indonesian forests, were being cut down for palm oil farms. Partnered with the Orangutan Foundation International (OFI) and the local government, and had the opportunity to present to our community realistic options to substitute palm oil. in mainstream products..

Example: Created new types of soap without palm oil Hosted community fundraisers to adopt 2 orangutans, covering their food and care expenses for 2 years. The rest of the funds were pooled with other environmental organizations to buy and rehabilitate orangutan habitats.
